The Montreal Mocanus came to CT. Here are a few pictures around Mansfield Hollow:

Saturday in Boston
Now that the power is back, we can post the pictures from last Saturday. We drove to Boston for the day, and walked around the Harvard area in Cambridge. We've been to the same area a few times, but it's always nice to walk around there.

Amazing, old stone church. Wonder how they built the tower?
We also happened to run in to a minor celebrity, and his owner.

Julia in the Dark
It seems that the recent "Noreaster" was worse than we thought, at least for us. The winds blew down a branch on our neighbour's yard, which took down a power line and left our little street without power for about 48 hours. It was not too bad, the house got a little chilly (~10°C) overnight, but we just cuddled up and stayed warm. :) It gave us a good excuse to spend a nice evening at Raluca & Ed's on Monday, and play with our nieces.
Here is Julia, in the dark:
Roxi putting away dishes, by candlelight (how romantic!).
Our heroes finally showed up, picked up the loose wire, reconnected everything, and restored power. This was about 7:15.
The girls, staying warm.

Rosie!
Rosemary came to hang out today. (She was born 10 hours before Julia)
Rosie and Julia, learning to share toys. Both seemed very interested in whatever toy the other had (especially Julia...).

Kim, Rosie and Julia, all sharing the Pooh book.

Most of Us Can't Do This Any More
I'm not even sure I could ever do this:
BONUS: other pictures of Julia!
Here's one where she looks like Sue:

Pswimming
Tonight we took Julia to a swimming pool for the first time. It was the small pool with the warm water - filled with floating toys, and nervous kids holding on to a parent.
Julia was excited by all the bright lights and colours (reminded us of how she was in airports). She seemed very comfortable in the water, shows the Portuguese blood, even when dad accidentally dunked her face underwater and water came out of her nose...

Like Stefan says: the "P" is silent.

Shenipsit
At the start of a two-hour walk along the Shenipsit Trail:
At the end of it.
A very enjoyable way to get a baby to fall asleep...
