Good Day

We spend the day with Andy & Marcia: talking, eating, hiking, eating, petting dogs, walking, and eating.

We walked over to Blackledge Pond, for a little walk. There is a very nice little waterfall, which Julia was enjoying:

She finally woke up. This look says that she would have slept longer:

Soon enough, all was well again.

Little Marcia and the Big Falls.

Back at their home, we walked around back.

Julia asked everyone to sit on this big rock.

One of many beautiful plants in the swamp.

The walk back to the Boursy bridge.

Cool Hat

I was reading a book with Julia this afternoon. The little boy in the book as wearing a red hat, and Julia said "Julia red hat too", so I got her a red hat. Then she put it on and was all happy, but after a minute took it off, turned it inside out, and put it back on. Apparently, that's how all the really cool kids do it these days...

Then there was some running around and just being silly...

Sunday visit to Bakerwoods

Last Sunday, we went to "Bakerwoods", a petting zoo/animal farm close to our house. Julia loved seeing and petting the animals, and we enjoyed being outside on such a nice day:

After seeing the birds, she started walking around flapping her arms, pretending she was flying...

The turkey (named "Strut") was Julia's favorite. She kept walking over to him saying "Gobble, Gobble, silly turkey!!!". She never did get close enough to pet him, though.

Pretty place... we went for a short hike around the pond.

Posing in the covered bridge:

The hike is set up with little surprises for the kids...
