Boats and Ball

We had a little picnic at Mansfield Hollow, where we saw a group of middle-aged men racing remote controlled sailboats.

But we had other things to do:
I started out by showing Julia some moves (still got it!!).

She's a quick learner...

The step-over:

Whoa! Even Ronaldo doesn't do this move.

Sprinting down the wing...

... and having a good time. :)

All that and still looks good afterwards.

Another Farmer's Market

We drove this time, 'cause we didn't want to get caught in the rain on our bikes. It was overcast and muddy, but there were a lot of people. A two-man band was playing "modern rock" (a cover of Staind's Outside was a hit).

I got a free cookie for Father's Day! :)

Julia eating a blueberry muffin.

Slouching at this cool booth: two people towed a wood-burning stove, some firewood, ingredients (pre-made dough-mix, and fresh veggies and cheese), and made excellent small pizzas right on the spot.

Playing with Ethan (who we've seen every time we go there).

Tim's wedding

We went to a wedding on Saturday afternoon.

This first picture was taken in church, just before the ceremony started:

Everyone was feeling more relaxed after the ceremony:

Then it was time to go home.

Friday morning

Julia's reading to her baby:

We need to work on getting her to turn off the water while she's brushing teeth:

I love how she's standing on her toes, trying to reach the tooth-brush holder.

Stawberries from our garden

Our strawberries were still green a few days ago, but now they are ripe, and they are yummy!

Julia ate them up all right away, saying "I'm yumming it all up".

Sunday Night Treat

Chocolate chip cookies by Marcia, ice cream from the UConn dairy bar.

Coventry Farmer's Market #1

We went to the first Coventry farmer's market of the year on Sunday.  The weather was perfect, and we had a good time.

A display of old cars and trucks.

It started like this:

and ended like this:

cuddling and tickling

Julia loves reading and she loves to cuddle.

Playing "Tickle-Monster" is great fun:

I love the curls in her hair:

A few more from the Greek Festival

The food was great!

Hartford Greek Festival

We went to see the Greek Festival, in Hartford on Saturday.  We didn't know much what to expect, but hey, we like Greek food.  After some souvlaki, spanakopita, stuffed vine leaves, and a drink, we took a little walk with Jesse, Kim, Rosie and Stewart, on Center Cemetery, where we did not get to see any "cemetery" stuff, but instead saw some ponds, ducks, and lots of places for Julia and Rosie to run around in.

(and Jesse)

Then we went back for some baklava.

Around the House

Flowering pea plants:

Strawberries might be ready soon, if the birds leave us some this year.
