The Goats

These are the 3 goats that Raluca and Ed got.

There's Seamus, and two females: Vera (the pregnant one), and one whose name I forgot. Sena wanted to show us how to go in to the pen: "you hold your hand straight, and all your fingers together, so that they don't bite a finger off!".

Good Day for Julia

A good day with a brief walk in Mansfield Hollow:

Then we met the new goats at the farm (I might put a picture up later...)

And some quality time at home.

Oh, and an important 3-2 victory in overtime. :)

Stella Weekend Update

Here she is, enjoying a little awake time.

The girls having breakfast and books in bed, all looking pretty.

Snow Day!

I picked a good day to not go to work.
After last week's forecast of "Snowmageddon", which resulted in only about 4cm of actual snow, we were pleasantly surprised that they got it right this week.

Here are some pictures from the back yard this morning.

Julia had a great time 'helping' shovel.

The birds always seem to do go on a feeding frenzy when it snows...

And then (!!!) the nieces came over for some sledding!

Sena was nice enough to slide down with Julia a few times.

Here's a really nice spill by my oldest niece:

Aiyana was not to be outdone...

... she is fearless (she was going faster than it looks here). Maybe a future olympian.

And she eventually found ways to stop.

Auntie Raluca and Julia:

The girls getting some good exercise.

Come back anytime there is snow!

More Stella

To all the people asking for more pictures of Stella - really, all she does is sleep these days.

But here's one showing the hair from the side.

I know what you're thinking: which one is cuter? Let's call it a draw.

A rare awake moment.

Sisters

Stella, resting on the red couch.

Sisters getting to know each other.

Julia at the Farmer's Market

The winter market is held at the high school, within walking distance of our house. Julia and I braved the (sunny but cool) weather. One of the highlights is always to buy a "Johnnycake" muffin, which we get to enjoy with an apple, on some benches in the school.

Stella Getting Some Air

Julia Is Still Here...

She's getting better and better at being a 'big sister'.

Here she is, having "German pancakes", a breakfast staple food.

And then, she wanted to hold sleeping Stella, which she was very excited about.
