We spent a short week near Acadia NP again. For the first time, we stayed on the West side (aka the "Quiet Side").
Roxi and Stella walking in Southwest Harbor, walking distance from our cabins:
The girls took turns posing.
We had a lot of rain the first few days, so we spent an afternoon at the Bangor Children's Museum.
But the rain was not too bad - usually just a drizzle.
On the walk around Jordan Pond.
Stella getting ready for popovers at the Jordan Pond House, a little cranky after her nap.
The view of low tide near our cabin.
A quick stop at Pretty Marsh. Mosses of all different colours.
Another day, another walk around Jordan Pond.
Set up the timer to take a family portrait. The bridge was just close enough that I could make it, but it did take a couple of tries.
Some beavers had been active.
And, more popovers.
On a little walk around Bar Harbor.
Walking now to Bar Island, at low tide.
Bar Island has fields of wild lupines.
Tried to take a picture of Stella like the one of Julia flying from a few years ago.
The first decent sunshine of the trip, and we just enjoyed it.
Stella pushing the limits.
Sunset at Southwest Harbor.
On a bike ride near Eagle Lake.
Snack at the visitor's center.
We all biked up the very steep hill from the center.
Eagle Lake.
Sweetie.
The little red speck on the rocks is Roxi and the girls.
From another hike, near Northeast Harbor.
Waiting for our friends, at the cabin.
Again, near Pretty Marsh.
Sunset in Southwest Harbor.
A walk up Beech Mountain.
A little foggy....
In the morning, before hitting the road again.
