Acadia 2011

We went back to Acadia for a week of vacation. We've been there every year since 2008 - what a great place to relax and get some fresh air.

On the drive over, we stopped for a little break, near a bridge.

Bunk Bed!

The story of a bunk bed for Julia & Stella:

Some cherry boards we looked at.

Here he is shaping the one we ended up using.  The shape is the same as the tree it was taken from.  This will be the corner post that holds the bed up.

In the meantime, Julia and Stella had fun.  We got this toy from a friend, but we'll be giving it to someone else soon.

Camping

We spent a couple of sunny days at Savoy Mountain.  It's easy car camping, but still a lot of fun.

Julia met some great little girls, who were a few campgrounds away.  They spelled their names with the many fallen apples that were everywhere (the campground used to be an orchard).
