Newfoundland: Mariana

We just got back home after 2 weeks in Newfoundland, to see Mariana and "The Rock". The weather was great, except for the cold, wind, rain, and fog. We saw parts of St-John's, Gros Morne, the Northern Peninsula, Twillingate (self-declared Iceberg Capital of the World), as well as some of the coves near St-John's (Portugal Cove, Belle Island, Petty Harbour, etc).

Since there are many pictures, we have grouped them and we'll post them over the next few posts... We'll try to limit the number of pictures per post.

So, first things first: pictures of our gracious host and tour guide: Mariana. She put up with a lot for those 2 weeks. ;)

Here she is, chatting with Roxi, near the Battery canons, in St-John's:

Still in the Battery, looking over to Fort Amherst.

Peeking out from her office door, at MUN.

Looking silly, with Ricardo and Andy, at Joey's Lookout, off the T.C.H.

Here, in one of the Gros Morne Cabins in Rocky Harbour.

Near Lobster Cove Head, North of Rocky Harbour.

Resting near Western Brook Pond.

The moose emerges...

Looking suspiciously at some photo antics (Roxi, on the other hand, is used to such things).

Standing proudly in Twillingate.

...and none of the pics show rain/drizzle/fog. Are you sure you're not just making that up?
