Acadia NP is becoming our favourite destination for short trips (one week or less) - we had to go back for the third year in a row (see pictures from our
2008 and
2009 trips). This was the first time we went in the spring.
This is Julia having a nap, in a hotel halfway to Acadia (we stayed the night in Ogunquit).

We met up with friends in Acadia. Julia loved having kids her age to play with.
Picking up shells and rocks, and "skipping" them on the water.

Julia had a blast hiking around, running to the next blue marker or cairn.
Later, on a walk to
Bar Island, which is accessible on foot at low tide.
We could see Bar Harbor from the island.
